$2,600 will get you an “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” certificate from Dalhousie University. Four courses, each worth a microcredential, are required in order to complete the certificate:
“Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
This explores the struggles organizations face in achieving equity, inclusion, and harmonious environments. Through participation in the certificate, learners will explore ways to create safe spaces to engage in real dialogue, policies around fairness, respect and civility, and strategies for navigating sensitive issues related to diversity and inclusion. Each course requires a minimum of 12 hours over three weeks and cost $650 each.”
Dalhousie also offers four stand alone courses. One of the four course descriptions doesn’t list a cost or mode of delivery. But the other three are online and range from $575 (12hrs, self-paced) to $795.
The following two course descriptions sound like they can be replaced by cheap self-help books such as, Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do which is on sale at Amazon.ca for $9.90.
